We've recently pushed out a new update to Nexus, and some users may have seen their custom settings wiped after the update. If you haven't already reconfigured, we have a step-by-step guide on how to recover your lost settings.
How to Restore 1.5.554 Nexus Configuration:
-
Press CTRL + R to open the Run dialog.
-
Type %temp% and press Enter.
-
Search for the HYTE_Backup folder.
-
Open the folder.
-
Depending on your previous setup, there may be up to 3 folders and 2 files:
-
bgs
-
leveldb
-
q60
-
config.json
-
settings.json
-
-
After updating to 1.5.559, make sure Nexus has been run and the welcome screen is completed. Then ensure Nexus is fully closed from the system tray.
-
To start the migration, copy the bgs folder, the q60 folder, and config.json, then paste them into the installation directory of Nexus, usually located at %appdata%\HYTE Nexus, unless a custom installation directory was specified.
-
Copy the leveldb folder and navigate to %appdata%\HYTE Nexus\Local Storage, then paste it there, replacing all files.
-
Finally, copy settings.json and paste it into C:\Users\<USER>\Documents\HYTE.
-
You're done!
Hope this helps save some time and headaches! A new build for Nexus will be released soon to help resolve this issue shortly.
