What is qRGB?
- qRGB is HYTEs new standard for RGB lighting performance. The Standard encompasses pixel density, brightness, refresh rate, and response time in the same way that standards like 4K, HDR, and Dolby Atmos define performance for Video and Audio experiences.
- qRGB products combine and perform as an "orchestra" with each item placed in the user's physical space corresponding to coordinates in the software.
- qRGB "Pixels" must be able to match the brightness level of typical PC monitors and must be able to maintain sub 40ms response time at 24 fps even with 1000 total LEDs being controlled.
- HYTE continues to push the performance well beyond these minimum standards, with the CNVS being able to support upwards to 200 fps and around 4ms of total latency with adequate PC hardware.
- Products must adhere to this standard to bear the qRGB badge. There may be "Powered by Nexus" devices offered, particularly by other hardware partners, that can join in the RGB experience but may not be considered high-performance enough to be considered qRGB and will not bear the badge.
