Why the downgrade to a 2.5K resolution from a 4K resolution?
- When designing our 2nd and 3rd generation panels, our focus was improving the user experience in as many impactful ways as possible.
- The 2.5K resolution actually improves system compatibility and reduces resource usage, allowing us to reach a wider audience.
- The Y70 touch infinite is still significantly sharper than your typical 32in 4K monitor, which comes in at just 137 PPI.
- Despite the lower resolution, our dot pitch is actually 33% closer, producing a sharper-looking image.
What is dot pitch?
- Dot pitch refers to the distance between sub-pixels within the display at a microscopic level.
- The lower the dot pitch is, the closer the sub-pixels get, and the sharper the resulting image looks.
What is the benefit of a brighter panel?
- Extra nits mean that the case can be enjoyed in even brighter operating environments while delivering more vibrant colors.
What is contrast ratio?
- The contrast ratio refers to the difference between the minimum and maximum brightness of a panel.
- This means Y70 touch infinite can show brighter whites and deeper blacks than before.
What is the difference between refresh rate and response time?
- The refresh rate is how many frames are shown per second, while the response time is how quickly the pixels transition between frames.
